Most guides have thousands of listings without any clue as to which are local favorites. Our approach is different. We feature a select list of recommended companies in many of the key niches. Our listings are like a producer’s tip-sheet making it possible to find things fast in select locations such as LA, NY SF and more to come.
Do you have an industry event, or screening open to the public? Let us know and we will feature it at no cost. We also try to track down local classes have press releases from manufacturers and local facilities. Help us grow our board to become a central hub for all local things Film and Video related.
Our for-sale bulletin board is an online resource for selling or buying used and new pro gear. Posting is simple as 1, 2, 3, and visitors respond through the site. Also you can post WTB for items you are trying to find. Try it for free.

Production Hotspot is a different kind of directory. Instead of the old yellow pages model of including everything and everybody for free, and then charging for advertising to stand out from the crowd, we research each market, and consulting with experts, put together an invited list of local favorites. By limiting each city to about 100 of its top providers we aim to be a short cut guide and starting off point in your search for resources. In addition, we also hope to develop a central hub calendar for events classes and screenings, a go to place to find and sell pro gear, and a blog with articles, interviews, reviews and more.
